Many people are skeptical of climate change due to many reasons. Some could be the past problems the media have claimed to have. These would include the coming “ice age” the New York Times published. I think the skeptics are looking at the wrong information. Scientists aren’t claiming that this has never happened before, they’re just saying it’s happening at a much faster rate.
Many skeptics complain about the wrong things. They’re saying that global warming is all one big lie, I strongly disagree. Global warming and cooling is all a natural thing that has happened throughout history it’s just now we are speeding up the warning and cooling to a dangerous rate. In the past, species have adapted and coped with the gradual changes, but now that it’s happening so fast more and more species are disappearing because they can not cope fast enough.
Scientists and skeptics are on two extremes. Skeptics don’t believe that it’s happening at all and will disagree with all the proof that scientists are bringing up, but some scientists are probable stretching the truth to a certain degree.
I think in order for us, as a country and world, need to view global warming as a natural thing that happens, but we need to recognize that we’re making it happen so much faster then it should. We need the skeptics and the scientists working together to create new questions and find those answers to make everyone understand the possible catastrophe.
